Much as it pains me to admit, I am incapable at this time of understanding Covenant Theology. Despite spending time reading, or trying to read, books by Covenant Theologians, the fundamentals of Covenant Theology are still a complete mystery to me. What I have read is inconsistent in terms of interpretation, perplexing in the use of concocted terms that aren’t defined and seemingly fluid in meaning, and often deductive in approach, starting with an idea and trying to find scripture to support it, rather than starting with scripture and then formulating ideas.
One interesting blog that is looking critically at Covenant Theology is https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/314370/posts/3837855762 by Paul Henebury. I may quibble on some of what he says, but he understands Covenant Theology far more in depth than I, and has many of the same issues with it that I do and more.
I am still thinking about whether I can deal with some of the relevant subtopics to this discussion, and am hoping to start up again writing shortly.
