Dispensationalism teaches that there is a future, literal Kingdom where the Lord Jesus Christ will reign supreme over all the earth. As seen so far, this does appear to correctly interpret the scriptures, specifically partially fulfilled messianic prophecy.
Therefore, dispensationalism is a reasonable interpretation of scripture, though not the only reasonable interpretation.
Any system of scriptural interpretation that rejects the literal, future Kingdom is, based on the previous review of scripture, automatically incorrect. Any amillennial theology is then inherently wrong, which includes most, though not all, of covenant theology. There is a branch of covenant theology that is premillennial (i.e. teaches a future, literal Kingdom), while holding the idea that scripture is best interpreted on the basis of covenants.
Therefore, attention will be given in following posts to the various premillennial theologies to determine if they accurately explain the scriptures.
